Cotswold Country Park & Beach is the ideal place to bring your furry friend for a day out, with miles of walks and even a doggy swimming beach for them to get wet! However, the park is also a favourite with families with young children, and so we ask you to follow these guidelines when visiting with your dog.
Leads
Generally speaking, dogs are fine to run around off their leads in The Park. However, they must be kept on leads when passing through Waterland, and on busy days we ask you to keep them on the lead when in the main beach and playground area.
Swimming
The Park is the perfect place for your dog to take a dip. There is a swimming area for dogs near to Head4Heights in the main car park. Please do not allow your dogs on to any of the other beach areas, and please prevent your dog from causing a nuisance to the anglers on the lakes.
Fouling
In an area where so many children are playing, it goes without saying that cleaning up after your dog immediately is essential. We provide dog waste bins around The Park. Ask a ranger where the nearest bin is located.
Control
Please keep your dogs under control at all times. We love dogs, but that doesn't mean all our visitors do. Please be a courteous dog owner and keep your dog under control at all times.
Hot Dogs
Please don't leave dogs in hot cars or tied up in the sun unattended for a long time. If you are bringing your dog to visit for the day, make sure they have adequate shade and plenty of drinking water.
